Reference image limits depend on your plan: Free (1 image), Pro (up to 3 images), Agency (up to 5 images). Multiple reference images give the AI richer context for materials, colors, and furniture styles. Free plan users who need more reference images can upgrade to Pro or Agency.

Yes — the Workspace includes a selection tool so you can target edits to a specific area of your image. Click and drag to draw a selection box (or use the selection toolbar), enter the prompt describing the change you want, and generate — only the selected region will be altered while the rest of the image is preserved. This is available to Free, Pro, and Agency users; generated results (and the selection metadata) are saved to the project so you can re-run or refine the edit later.

DesignDraft.ai is an AI concept-visualization tool. Upload a room, exterior, listing, floor plan, or inspiration photo, describe the change you want to explore, and create a photorealistic concept for planning and client conversations.

Not at all. Just describe what you want in plain English — new flooring, paint colors, furniture, lighting. The AI handles the rest.

We accept JPEG, PNG, WEBP, and HEIC/HEIF (iPhone photo format) images — HEIC/HEIF is automatically converted for processing. Each reference image may be up to 10 MB; the total request size limit is 20 MB. If your image is larger, please resize or compress it before uploading. For best results, use clear, well-lit photos — the "Check my reference photos" tool in the Workspace will flag resolution or lighting issues before you generate.

Most generations complete in approximately 30–90 seconds. Complex prompts, large references, or temporary provider demand can take longer; the workspace shows progress while the concept is being created.

First, try again — many failures are transient. If problems persist: 1) confirm your image is JPG/PNG and under 20 MB, 2) try a simpler prompt or a smaller image, and 3) check that you haven't reached your monthly generation limit. If you still need help, contact support and include your account email, project name (or project ID), generation ID (if available), and the time of the attempt so we can investigate quickly.

The Workspace has two built-in tools to help before you generate: "Check my Prompt" scores your prompt and lists what to improve, and "Check my reference photos" evaluates resolution, brightness, and sharpness. In general: state a design style (e.g., "Scandinavian"), list the key elements to change (flooring, paint, furniture), specify lighting/mood, and mention perspective or quality (e.g., "4K, photorealistic"). Yes — if enabled for your account, you can sign in with Google from the login page. If you don't see the Google option, you can still create and sign in with an email address and password. Contact support if you'd like us to check whether Google sign-in is available on your account.

If you see a bright TEST MODE ACTIVE banner at the bottom of the screen, it means a site admin has enabled sandbox/test payment modes for troubleshooting. This banner appears only to admins and no real charges will be made while test mode is active.

Every generation runs two AI models in parallel — GPT Image 2.0 and Nano Banana 2 — so you get two design options to compare in a "Choose Your Design" screen. GPT Image 2.0 uses your primary reference photo, while Nano Banana 2 can factor in multiple reference images (up to your plan limit: 1 for Free, 3 for Pro, 5 for Agency) and floor plan uploads. Pick your favorite and the other option is discarded automatically. This only counts as one generation toward your monthly limit, and both options support the creativity slider, region selection, and floor plan uploads.

The Creativity slider controls how closely the AI follows your prompt. 'Exact edit' keeps changes minimal and literal — only what you asked for. 'Balanced' (default) follows the request but allows tasteful interpretation. 'Concept mode' gives the AI more freedom to make complementary enhancements beyond the exact request. Use Exact edit when iterating on a specific change; use Concept mode when you want a fuller design exploration.

Yes — the Workspace has an optional floor plan upload field. When provided, the AI treats the floor plan as a hard spatial constraint (not style inspiration), preserving layout, door placement, window placement, and room proportions. This is especially useful for renovation planning where the structural layout must not change. All plans (Free, Pro, Agency) can use this feature.

Yes — two ways to try without an account. The homepage live demo applies your prompt to a sample exterior or interior photo and shows the result instantly (limited to a few tries per session). You can also upload your own photo using the email trial on the homepage: describe the design change you want, and we will email the AI-generated concept to you — no account needed. Create a free account to save designs, make revisions, and download full-resolution outputs.

Yes — Pro and Agency plans are both available with monthly or annual billing. Choosing annual gives you roughly two months free (about 17% savings) compared to paying month-to-month. You can select monthly or annual billing when you subscribe on the pricing page. Both options include the same features. "Check my Prompt" analyzes what you typed and returns a quality score with specific suggestions to improve it. "Check my reference photos" evaluates your uploaded images for resolution, brightness, sharpness, and framing, and tells you if any photos are likely to reduce output quality. These tools are available on all plans.

Yes — credit packs let you buy one-time generations without a monthly subscription. They come in three sizes: Starter (10 credits, $9), Listing (30 credits, $19), and Studio (100 credits, $49). Credits are deducted automatically when your monthly plan limit is exhausted, and they never expire. Credit packs are ideal for one-off projects, property listings, or client presentations.

A project is a container for a design concept — for example, a kitchen remodel or a front-yard landscaping idea. Each project holds all the AI-generated images you create for that concept, along with the reference photos you uploaded. You can create as many projects as you like (Pro and Agency plans have unlimited projects) and open any project from the My Projects page. Inside a project, each generation is a separate AI output you can compare, download, or iterate on.

Yes — the homepage email trial lets you upload any room or listing photo, enter a short design request (e.g., "stage this living room for a modern buyer"), and we will email you the AI-generated concept. No account required. Each email address is eligible for up to 2 free trial concepts per day. Yes — DesignDraft.ai works in any modern mobile browser. You can upload photos, generate designs, and browse your project history from a phone or tablet. The region-selection and multi-image tools are more comfortable on a larger screen (tablet or desktop), but all core features are accessible on mobile.

Yes — from the Workspace, click the project name at the top of the page to rename it inline and press Enter or click away to save. Use the dropdown next to the name to change the category (Interior, Exterior, or Other). Changes save automatically. You can also edit project names and categories from the My Projects page.

Free accounts receive 5 AI generations per month, one active project, and standard-resolution downloads. Pro includes 100 generations per month and Agency includes 250. Monthly allowances reset on the first day of each month; one-time credit packs can be used after the monthly allowance.

Free users receive standard-resolution downloads. Pro and Agency accounts can download at 4K pixel dimensions for presentations and large-format viewing. Every output remains an AI concept image, not a measured construction or permit document.

Yes, you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access continues through the end of your current billing period.

When you hit your monthly limit, you have two options: upgrade to a higher plan for immediate access to more monthly generations, or use a credit pack — one-time generation credits that work on top of your monthly quota and never expire. Credit packs are available on the pricing page starting at $9 for 10 credits. Your monthly quota resets on the 1st of each month.

You can see your current plan usage in the Workspace and My Projects pages — a usage bar shows how many generations you've used this month and your plan limit. Yes. Your uploaded photos and generated images are stored securely on Amazon S3 and remain private to your account. We do not share your images with third parties or use them to train public AI models. When you cancel or downgrade, your paid features remain active through the end of your current billing period. All uploaded photos and generated images remain in your account and projects until you choose to remove them.
